Welcome Everyone!

Hello!

Yes, it is me, Hope.  I've decided to go back to the blog format; the time it takes to re-do, update and maintain the web site is just too much for me, everyone.  But I missed writing so much that I decided that I had to just get back to my roots, so here I am.

A few things of note - Engbunny is my back up on the site.  If I have a post due and can't make it, she can get information to you.  I will try to stick to the same communication style as before - if I've got an update scheduled it will be there, unless otherwise noted.  I'll try never to leave you hanging...

I am in the process now of moving over the one shot stories about Sarah and Adam that I did on the web site and when I've done that I will post two new stories - Only In My Dreams and The Wedding.  Only in my dreams is another little 'fantasy' post and I hope you'll enjoy it.  The Wedding is about of course Sarah and Adam's big day.  It will be the lead-in for the next story, Wishing On Stars, Cassie and Georgio's story.  I will very quickly be posting a teaser for that.  It will have its own blog site and I'll share that address too.  Also, I may do a blog site to accommodate Sometimes, if there is any interest in that.

So, drop in and say hello if you like, you are all welcome!  But beware of the bunny...

Hi Lynette!

Welcome back! Yes, there is more coming, I hope you'll enjoy it. It's sort of like catching up with an old friend you haven't seen for awhile.

Wow!!! It really is Hope! And Adam and the whole Heart Desires gang! I'm so excited!! I've already added this page to my Favorites. Off to explore now.

Jo, so excited to see you back! I've missed your somewhat unique perspective on things!

Bravo to you for having links such as Susan Komen and the Humane Society on your site. :-) But, if I may be so bold, could you correct the link to the Humane Society. Right now, it says Human Society. Yes, all humans are animals but.... I apologize for being so picky but, as a member of HSUS myself, I want to make sure folks know what the link is all about.

P.S. LOVE YOUR STORIES!!!

Hey Anon - I fixed the wording so it is now correct. :-) I think Auntie Hope chose them because of her four legged niece and nephews. You all will have to ask her about them. :-)

Thanks for pointing it out!

Anonymous 12:19, my partner in crime Engbunny changed my faux paus yesterday, thanks for pointing it out, really. You know, you can look at something over and over and never see the flaw! Don't be shy though, stop in whenever you like.

Frances (shy girl, it's good to hear from you. Boy, I have missed everyone so much. It was good to see you posted!

Oops. Another blooper. I meant to say 'Faux PAWS' a play on words since it was the Humane Society link. Bad Hope...

I'm not sure how many of you remember Rob, who used to post on this site. He was my husband and best friend.

When the story first ran I was a stay at home mom with our two toddlers. Rob would print the stories off and bring them home, where we lived vicariously through Sarah and Adam. Hope, you brought a lot of fun into our lives. Our children are in school now and I'm working full time with access to a computer. I looked up the site and found the new stuff on it.

I wanted to let you all know that Rob died last year, in a car accident. He really enjoyed all the friendship and companionship he felt that greeted him on the site. He always felt welcome, even though he was a man in a mostly women's world.

Dear Celia,
I'm Hope's daughter Lynne.
I am so very sorry to hear of Rob's passing. He will be missed by one and all. Reading his comments always brought a smile to my face. I always gave him props for admitting that he was a guy reading this blog. My thoughts and prayers to you and your children.

Celia,

I am so sorry to hear about Rob. We all really liked Rob and enjoyed having a man's perspective on the story. He made a laugh a lot and really brightened my day so many times.

I hope you know that you are always welcome here on the site, as the story continues. I'm sure you will find the same sense of community and support that Rob did because these are the best group of people that you will find on any site.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Hi Celia!

Our most heartfelt condolences on what must've been a truely trying year. As I'm sure you will remember, Hope's forum is a wonderfully supportive community of remarkable people. One of which will always remain your husband, Rob! Please know you both are in our thoughts, and that we are here for you in whatever capacity we need to be. I can't begin to convey how blessed I feel to have this group coming back together....

Hello Alll,

More snow is heading to Kansas, dang it! Eng, you can keep the stuff, okay? But it's Thursday and I'm off tomorrow, hooray! G-man and I are going to dinner with friends to celebrate my birthday. I intend to drink too much and have tons of fun!

Engbunny said...

Do you think I like having it here first? Well, it is only going to be a dusting for us - approx. 1-2 inches. What are they saying for you?

And yes, it is your B-day! YAY HOPE!!!! What are you, 39 again? *Grin* It is going to be your best birthday yet!

Hope said...

53 and proud of it! And I think it will be a good birthday, I'm sure.

We are not only supposed to get some snow, but the dreaded ice!

Celia ~ so sorry to hear about Rob. He will be missed, and we welcome you as a Hopie any time you want to come in. My hubby had a cancer scare over the last few months, and I am so relieved that I didn't have to go through losing him. I'll hug him extra close in memory of Rob tonight. :)

Everyone~ I'm so glad that everyone is trickling in gradually. I missed the stories, but more than that I missed the camaraderie from the forums.

Hope~ Happy Birthday girl! I hope you have a great day!

I'm heading to Savannah GA tonight and on to Parris Island, SC for a graduation. My daughter's um, friend that is a boy is graduating from Marine Boot Camp in the morning. She is over the moon to see him again. I'm trepidatious. (is that a word?)
See y'all soon!

Each time I come to this board I am just overwhelmed by the response from everyone concerning Rob. Thank you all so much, I'm happy to have found you all. Still reading Hope, I'm up to chapter 20. I know things start to get a bit bumpy now, but I love this story so much!

Hi Hope and Hopies,

I'm new to the blog and I've been reading what my heart desires of the last weeks (would have read it quicker if I had time). Can't wait to read about Cassie and Georgio, and about the wedding of course.

Hope, I haven't read Sometimes yet, so I would love to read it.

Hope said...

Hi Nic and welcome to the blog! We're a family here and always welcome a new member. Don't be shy- we aren't, just jump right in!

Hope, when will the story Sometimes be brought up to date from where you left off on the old blog? I've been waiting for years now for it to finish. It almost reminded me of that movie, the Time Travelers Wife. Anyway, would love an update.

Hi Anonymous!

I am posting a chapter every Wednesday to bring it up to date. It started last week. 25 chapters were posted on the web, so it's got a ways to go. A few details have been changed on it, so you might want to read it again. Nothing drastic really, but I have expanded the ending a bit and added 3 chapters to the final. I hope to see you over on that site!
